If I could sum up this place in one word, it would be RELAXING. Being able to sit out on a balcony (which overlooks the beach), and watch the sunset was total bliss. The breakfasts were phenomenal, the room was well equipped, and the area was like stepping back into a simpler time. All that, and the cost to stay was less than most hotels that one would care to stay at. I highly recommend the Baywood.
The view was stunning. It is an amazing property. It starts with turning on a winding tree lined driveway (that is lite beautifully at night) to the most stunning view of the bay. Mike was a sweet and kind host. He was as charming as his property. Full of history and knowledge of the area he was fun to talk to and it was great to find the less known treasures thanks to him. Breakfast…be HUNGRY. Yummy and huge. In fact both days we skipped lunch we were so full. Lovely soaking tubs and plush robes made us feel super pampered.
Beautiful B&B, incredible sunsets, soft sand beach, friendly staff. The perfect place to spend our honeymoon. It was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and we very much enjoyed it. The location was perfect because we crossed the CBBT to Virginia Beach for fun during the day and had a quiet, romantic, private place to come back to every night. Thanks Sharon and Mike for making our stay perfect!
